Private Wine Tours
Wine educators, not tour guides. Real access, not tourist circuits.
Custom private tours in Burgundy, the Northern Rhône, Beaujolais, Savoie, and Jura, and further afield in Champagne, Provence, Bordeaux, and Alsace. Private driver included. Minimum two guests.
How We Work
Not a tour company. Wine educators who guide.
We’re not tour operators running the same route every week. We’re certified wine educators offering private wine tours in Burgundy and beyond. We design wine courses, teach certifications, judge competitions, and have spent years building personal relationships with producers across these regions. When we take you somewhere, it’s because we know the winemaker.
A day with us is about connection: to the wine, to the land, to the people who make it. We walk vineyards, visit villages and local markets, stop at fromageries, and build in moments for regional cheese and food where it makes sense. Wine belongs on a table and in a landscape. We connect all of that.
Your guide acts as your cultural interpreter, translating not just language but context. The way things work here, the stories behind the labels, the producer who doesn’t usually open the door. Each day is designed specifically for your group: your knowledge level, your interests, the experience you want to have.
Some guests arrive with notebooks and specific appellations in mind. Others want to slow down and absorb something without having to think too hard. We design accordingly. Want to learn how to taste properly? We’ll teach you. Prefer to just drink and enjoy? We follow your lead.
A typical day includes two producer visits with real conversation rather than rushed tastings. What’s around those visits varies every time: vineyard walks, a cultural stop in a village, a cheese plate in a cave, lunch at a table that’s earned it. Each itinerary is built from scratch for the specific group in front of us.
Minimum two guests. Solo travelers, contact us to discuss options.

Who We Are
Wine professionals who believe in what this work can do.
Nicolas holds the WSET Diploma and studied in the Master of Wine program. He teaches WSET courses through Level 4, leads masterclasses across France, and is an ambassador for the Wines of Provence and faculty at INSEEC business school. Native French speaker, fluent in English and German, with Italian as well.
Emily holds WSET Level 3, the French Wine Scholar, and Bourgogne Master Level certifications. She consults in wine tech and transatlantic business development, and teaches at the Burgundy School of Business. Bilingual English and French. Originally from the US, based in France since 2017.
We both judge wine competitions internationally. But more than credentials, we share a belief: wine tourism opens doors. To culture, to food, to history, to craftsmanship both ancient and contemporary. A day in the vineyards can change how you taste, how you travel, how you connect to place. That’s what we’re offering: not just a tour, but a way in.
We also run Paris Wine Academy, where we teach certification courses and immersive wine programs. Our French Wine Scholar cohorts are capped at six. Intimacy matters to us, in the classroom and in the vineyard.
What Our Clients Say
“Top notch help and guidance from a local fully submerged in the wine and travel culture of Bourgogne. Emily asked the right questions and crafted a highly personalized itinerary based on my responses and goals for our trip. High value add well beyond the investment.”
Private tour client
“Definitely the best experience of our trip to France — by far. Four wine novices hoping to get educated, explore the region and sample some really good wine. This excursion around Beaune exceeded all of our expectations. Emily and Nicolas are just fabulous.”
