We are Emily Erin and Nicolas Fouilleroux, a sommelier and a wine educator based in Lyon. We design the day, we book it in your name, and one of us is often the person beside you in the cellar.

Private wine days

Every photograph and story here is our own. We write and photograph French wine country for our readers, and on commission for regions, estates and hotels.

Our editorial work

Every visit is chosen because we would send our own family there.

Why usWe live here. We work in wine.

  • In French wine since 2017, based in Lyon, at home in Burgundy and Champagne.
  • Years of relationships with growers and great houses across France.
  • Two languages and two cultures. We translate the room, not just the wine list: who to greet, when to taste, what to ask and what to leave unsaid.
  • WSET Diploma, WSET Level 3, French Wine Scholar, Bourgogne Master Level.
  • Trusted on the ground by international travel companies.
  • Featured in BBC Travel and Vagabond, the Swedish travel magazine.

A note from Emily Erin

I came to France in 2017 to study wine and never left.

First Paris, then Burgundy, now Lyon. I work as a sommelier and travel designer, and I photograph and write everything published under the Paris Wine Girl name.

My husband Nicolas, DipWSET, reached Stage 2 of the Master of Wine programme and is an ambassador for the Wines of Provence. He guides many of our private days and leads our wine education.

Together we design trips for people who want to understand what they are tasting, and why it matters.
