French Wine Trips
Private Wine Experiences & Custom Itineraries
Authentic, Thoughtful Experiences – Not touristy, not rushed—just a real, enriching way to explore wine country

Experience Wine Regions Through Their Landscapes & People
Wine isn’t just about what’s in the glass—it’s about where it comes from, the people who make it, and the land that shapes it. I create custom private tours and travel itineraries for couples and small groups who want to go beyond the surface, exploring wine regions at their own pace while connecting deeply with the history, culture, and traditions that define each place.
I specialize in Burgundy, where I am based, but I also curate unforgettable experiences in Champagne, Paris, Rhône, and Provence. Maybe you’re curious about how history shapes the wines of a region, or you want to experience the landscapes and flavors in a way that feels truly immersive.
Private Guided Wine Tours
For those who want a fully immersive experience, I personally guide clients through Burgundy, Champagne, and beyond. These experiences typically range from one to four days and are completely tailored to you.
- Visits to top wineries and hidden gems, with exclusive tastings
- Private meetings with winemakers and behind-the-scenes vineyard access
- Thoughtfully selected restaurants and cultural highlights
- Logistical support to ensure a seamless trip
For wine professionals and students, I also offer longer, in-depth educational experiences.
Custom Self-Guided Itineraries

Perfect for independent travelers who want expert insights without a guide.
Emily Lester Fouilleroux
Originally from Seattle, Emily built a life in Paris as both an aerialist and a floor sommelier. In 2019, she launched the Paris Wine Girl blog. She is a French Wine Scholar, sources wine for the U.S. market for importers, and works for CellarTracker in marketing. With a deep appreciation for the culture, she curates experiences that allow travelers to connect with the land, the people, and the history that shape a wine region.
Nicolas Fouilleroux, DipWSET
Often called “the professor,” Nicolas is a highly sought-after wine educator. He teaches WSET, French Wine Scholar, and wine business courses and is an ambassador for the Wines of Provence. Born and raised in Paris, he speaks three languages and brings a rich perspective on wine, culture, and history to every experience. Whether guiding tastings or helping travelers calibrate their palates, Nicolas makes wine education approachable and engaging.
Bibiche
Bibiche is head of the compliance — born in the Languedoc but lived most of his life in Paris. Once a fierce street fighter in the south, he has since retired to guarding his living room territory and food bowl. Occasionally, he indulges in eating a plant he’s not supposed to, but mostly, he uses his years of experience to ensure the team maintains a proper work-life balance, which includes plenty of breaks for naps.
