FRENCH WINE TRAVEL · BURGUNDY · LYON

Private wine tours and custom trip planning from someone who actually lives here.

I lead private wine days in Burgundy, Beaujolais, and the Northern Rhône, and design itineraries across every French wine region. Based in France since 2017.

For travelers who want real access, not tourist circuits.

WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

French Wine Travel, Designed Around You

Private Wine Tours

A full day in the vineyards with someone who knows the producers, speaks the language, and understands what makes each appellation distinct. Small domaines, real conversations, no scripts.

Custom Trip Planning

I design detailed itineraries for Champagne, Burgundy, the Loire, Rhône, and beyond. Producer contacts, driving routes, restaurant recommendations, and cultural context — everything you need to travel well.

Wine & Language Immersions

Multi-day programs designed with my husband Nicolas, blending wine education, French language, and cultural immersion. For those who want to go deeper than a typical tour allows.

One-Hour Consultation

A focused conversation about your trip, your questions, your cellar, or your next move. For travelers, collectors, or anyone planning time in French wine country who wants expert input before they go.

PLANNING A WINE TRIP TO FRANCE?

You have questions. I have answers (and opinions).

Most people find me while trying to sort out the basics:

  • Can I do Champagne and Burgundy in the same trip?
  • Should I rent a car or take the train?
  • Where should I actually stay if I want to be near the vineyards?
  • How do I get appointments at producers who don't have websites?

These are the right questions. And they're harder to answer than Google makes them seem. French wine regions reward preparation — knowing when to go, how long to stay, and which producers are worth your time.

I've spent years learning the rhythms of this country: the lunch hours, the harvest closures, the back roads that save you an hour. I design itineraries that reflect how France actually works, not how travel blogs imagine it.

If you want a trip that feels considered rather than chaotic, I can help.

ABOUT

A Note from Emily

I moved to France in 2017 — first Paris, then Burgundy, now Lyon. I teach at Burgundy School of Business, consult in wine tech, and spend most of my time helping people experience French wine regions the way I wish I'd been able to when I first arrived.

My husband Nicolas was born in Paris. He's a certified wine educator and an ambassador for the Wines of Provence. He handles the French language instruction and much of the wine education; I handle the logistics, the cultural translation, and the travel design.

Together, we've built something for travelers who want more than a checklist — who want to understand what they're tasting and why it matters.
