5 Exquisite Restaurants in Paris to try in 2022

It’s no secret that Paris is one of the culinary capitals of the world. With its diverse population and history, it’s no wonder that there are so many amazing restaurants to be found in the city. In this blog post, we will explore 5 different restaurants that you need to try in Paris in 2022. These restaurants represent a variety of different cuisines, but I am keeping within the theme of “wine centered” top choices that appeal to both foodies and casual diners.

So without further ado, here are five top restaurants to check out in Paris this year:

Parcelles Paris

The When you walk into the restaurant, your senses are overwhelmed with authentic French cuisine. The dimly lit room has a vintage feel to it that would make any classic filmmaker proud–everything from the gilded ceiling frescos and copper countertops down to the bare or beige walls are exactly what we see in movies set during World War II era Paris! While  some might think this authenticity comes only when eating meat on bread (which I’m sure tastes great), there’s plenty more than just good old hepatically bound dishes here: country pâté de campagne & pork creamy garlic polenta stand out among the menu. Their “by the glass” offerings are among the best in Paris because of the diversity of range. We elected to stick with that option to try each dish with a new pairing and I wasn’t disappointed. However the bottle list is extensive and I look forward to returning to try some of the gems they include.

Restaurant Eels

Eel may be the clue that tells you about Adrien Ferrand’s dishes. He has considerable experience under his belt–six years for William Ledeuil, first at Ze Kitchen Galerie then KGB- but it all began with an apprenticeship in fine dining (a three year stretch), and now he is ready to open up shop on his own! A success indeed. The wine list is exceptional, including selections from outside of France. This is rare in Paris and a  clear indicator of a carefully curated list. I recommend the tasting menu and wine pairing. You won’t be disappointed and might discover a new favorite wine. I did!

Racines Paris

Nestled inside the iconic passage des Panoramas, in the heart of Paris between the Grands Boulevards and Montmartre, Racines Paris is ideal for the perfect romantic dinner. The great Sardinian chef Simone Tondo took over this bistro-cum-wine cellar and made an excellent decision to turn it into a traditionally styled osteria. The cuisine is clearly rooted in Italian produce, with dishes like burrata from Puglia or calf’s head alla Milanese on offer for your dining pleasure daily! If you’re looking forward to some fine food while sipping away at one of their carefully selected wines then come here where they’ll be sure not only feed but satisfy every taste bud–even those very sensitive ones found hidden deep within our stomachs!!!

Restaurant Vantre

Restaurant Vantre is the ultimate destination for food and wine lovers and still a lesser known gem in Paris. A warm welcome awaits you at this authentic French eatery, where two partners offer select ingredients cooked by an accomplished chef from Saturne with a renowned sommelier skill set that has been honed over many years working in some of Paris’ most prestigious restaurants like Le Bristol & Taillevent. All of this is served alongside more than 2k wines chosen carefully according to their quality as well flavor profile so they can be paired wisely – just what every palate desires! Their wine cellar includes older vintages of some of the most acclaimed French estates.

The Verre Vole

The The Verre Vole is the perfect place for wine lovers looking for an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The tiny bistro has become a neighborhood hotspot over the last five years that I’ve lived in Paris. Locals come for their carefully sourced selection of wine that is usually unfiltered or natural. This is typical in trendy Parisian neighborhoods like the 10eme and 11eme, yet not all caves can offer the level of culinary expertise that Verre Vole achieves, making it remain one of my top picks. Richly textured dishes like boudin noir paired with buttery homemade mashed potatoes will have you coming back time after again! With menus changing daily at around €23 per main course, this place never disappoints. I recommend exploring their Corsican whites.

So there you have it! Some of my top picks for restaurants to try in Paris in 2022. Of course, this list changes all the time as I discover new gems, but these five hold a special place in my heart. Bon Appétit!
