Where to Stay in Beaune: Le Home, a Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Bourgogne

Where to stay in Beaune

The Le home is a one-of-a-kind and stunning boutique hotel in the heart of one of the most iconic wine regions in the world, Bourgogne. The perfect accommodation for travelers exploring the city of Beaune.

Once a historic winery and large family home it has since been transformed into an elegant-style manor house. Mathilde and Florient are the creative proprietors and both hail from artistic backgrounds.

Florient is a talented muralist whose work can be seen through the city of Beaune and on the walls of some of the hotel’s guest rooms. His paintings are cheerful and invoke the same welcoming spirit that you feel when you enter Le Home for the first time.

Mathilde returned to childhood home of Bourgogne after years working in the Paris fashion scene. Using her skills in production, planning and communications, Mathilde is responsible for operations. She also orchestrates local partnership events. To say she is well connected is an understatement. The duo are always delighted to help guests choose from various city and local tours and to share their recommendations: winemakers, restaurants and local sites.

In Le Home Hotel, it is easy to be inspired by the attention to detail and efforts to meticulously restore the space. The beautiful energy of the space and MATHILDE’s creative vision make Le Home a truly special place.

The hotel has twenty individually designed guest-rooms all with their own sophisticated character and style. Some rooms transform you back into the Parisian belle epoque. Antique night tables, fabric headboards and mahogany chairs all conjure images of Henri de Toulouse Lautrec’s bordello paintings.

Several of the guest rooms are adorned with lavish clawfoot bathtubs. Imagine a long bike ride through the vineyards or recovering from a long business meeting, it would be hard to resist pouring yourself a glass of wine and soaking for an hour. And pourquoi pas?

Other rooms are like French country-side cottages with exposed stone walls and garden terraces in front of their individual exterior entrances along the back of the house. A peaceful vibe where you take notice of the ivy climbing up the walls while enjoying your locally sourced fresh breakfast and coffee in the mornings.

With several packages to choose from, guests can select the best option for their visit to Beaune. From business-stopover deals to a full discovery complete with gastronomic dinners, breakfasts and chateau wine tasting booking. The hotel also offers full private rentals of the property with a capacity of 10-30 people. Ideal for receptions, business meetings or retreats.

Located only a few minutes away from the city center, Le Home is the perfect base to explore the region. The hotel is also within walking distance of some of Beaune’s best restaurants and wine domains.

If you find yourself in Beaune, I highly recommend a stay at Le Home. You won’t be disappointed!

On a personal note…

I had the good fortune of meeting MATHILDE previously this winter. She invited me to meet and explore the hotel. I fell in love with their space and I wanted to share more about this magical hotel for those looking for a place to stay in Beaune. Plus, immerse you into a little creative project of my own that felt inspired to produce after touring the hotel on a quiet afternoon in February.

A little nod to my cabaret roots, I put my photography skills to the test and shot a retro-style photoshoot inside the space with my partner and dear friend, Savannah this month. You know, sometimes the universe just works in mysterious ways… That is how I felt when I think about the phone call from Mathilde. After more than two years of no shows this opportunity felt like the perfect way to dip myself into a more personal project.

Maybe when you visit Le Home you will be inspired too.

Hi my wife and I are recently from the San Francisco Bay area and will be taking a river cruise from Lyon to Avignon and then traveling by car to Beaune 7/31 – 8/3/2022. We are interested in doing some wine tasting and would love some suggestions. We really enjoy wine, but aren’t total wine snobs. We are looking for some fun tasting experiences and suggestions.
